CTP365

The CoverThis Photography Photo-A-Day Project began on Thursday, April 28th, 2011.

I have always wanted to do this project, and late in the evening of the 27th of April I thought of my Grandmother's old toast, "If you ever get to it to do it, and don't do it, here's hopeing you never get to it to do it again. So do it now."

Without a moment's hesitation I set my alarm for 5:30am. Nothing was packed, nothing was planned, but I knew that the next morning I would begin a project that, start to finish, would take me exactly 365 days to complete. Non-stop.

Please, Join me on my adventure, and feel free to share with friends. If you have any suggestions, anywhere in Maine, feel free to leave them here.

My policy with this project is to post one photo a day. These photos may be from work, personal, or taken for the express purpose of this project, but one thing is for sure, there will be 365 photos when I am done. I will also only allow for myself to post up to 10 photos that are not unique to their day. That is to say, only 10 photos, at most, will be taken the same day as another photo.

This should be fun.

  • Day 2 of the CTP365 Project. This photo was taken just off Interstate 95, just before Waterville, on my way to Brunswick, Maine, on April 29th, 2011.

Jen likes this photo because she says it reminds her of a Mid Summer Night's Dream. She says the combination of the enclosure of the trees and the fence reminds her of Ariel in the Cloven Pine.

  • Today we mourn the passing of a dear friend and cherished colleague, my beloved Konica-Minolta Maxxum 5D.... At 6:47PM EST, on April 30th, 2011, after a long life providing many a beautiful photo, my long-time partner sailed from the roof of my Jeep Cherokee Sport at approximately 28 miles an hour, on to the pavement below...

I was on my way to take a the photo-of-the-day at a local concert, and because of this, I am presenting a photo from the very first day of this project.

Do not mistake the KM5D for my Sony A900. My A900 is still alive and well. The same can not be said for the 5D....

This photo was taken along Route 24, on the way to Lands End, in Bailey Island, Maine.
